Andy Kimbel is a very talented folk and country-blues performer whose star continues to rise on the national blues and folk scene. When he plays, you will hear the influences of traditional blues, folk, R&B some very fancy finger style and a touch of New Orleans style roots music.

Andy now in his 17th year as a recording artist and performing musician, is often thought of as a real "musicians musician" with his great improvisational skill and ability to create a show on the fly to fit the tone and mood of an audience or venue.  He performs a unique selection of material that ranges from gentle ballads and pointed originals, to hard driving country blues and slide guitar using various tunings and harmonics. His own distinct interpretations set him apart and give even old traditional blues a new face. He keeps his audiences enticed with a great flow and versatility as his fingers move effortlessly across the neck of the guitar while picking rhythm patterns and leads simultaneously improvising with his own compositions and a selection of traditional standards.

As a touring solo performer, Andy has played major Festivals, Special Events, Folk and Blues venues, Colleges, and has been featured many times on Radio and Television shows. He is a seasoned performer known for his Acoustic Guitar finger picking with the Blues influence.

Andy's shows have Lots of "wow" appeal and offer a fun time for all. If you like exciting acoustic guitar work and the music of the classic acoustic country blues masters as well as Jorma Kaukonen, Chris Smither, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Lyle Lovett Tom Rush and John Hiatt, then you will surely appreciate a show by Andy Kimbel.

Andy also has a band called the Andy Kimbel Express that presents a whole new dimension to his music and performance. The group consists of experienced session musicians. The band offers a flow of R&B, New Orleans Roots, Pop, Rock & Roll and Blues in a Jam Band environment drifting in and out of various tunes and sometimes finding a new song on the fly.  The band has played larger festivals and concert events and has also enjoyed performances on Fox Television and several other networks
