I can Look Into Your Eyes
copyright 1992... Mile High Music, Andy Kimbel, ASCAP
Last night I saw emptiness, seems like the night before it never came. And now I find all of your tenderness, tonight, I can look into your eyes.
Your dreams filled with vision. Thoughts clearer then the morning Sun. Together we'll walk the beaches and tomorrow our lives will have begun.
Tonight I can look into your eyes. See the dreams that have yet to come. Tomorrow we'll share the sunrise, but tonight I can look into your eyes.

Time Moves On
copyright 1993, Mile High Music / Andy Kimbel , Irene Lane Fetter ASCAP
Went to a house, turned on the light, saw images of a living room. But that was the house we all grew up in. Went outside saw the woman next door, she wasn't that same little girl anymore. She was all grown up doing things we used to talk about.
Can you feel the time move on and on. on and on... Can you feel the time move on and on.
Got into my car, drove down to the school saw the children playing. They were laughing just like I remember when I was young.
Went off to work ... looked all around everybody seemed just to be staring... I guess its tome for me to be moving on.
Can you feel the time move on and on .. on and on.... Can you feel the time move on and on.

Hang Me
Trad.
Hang me Oh Hang me and I'll be dead and gone. Hang me oh hang me, and I'll be dead and gone. I wouldn't mind the hangin', just laying in the grave so long. I've been all around the world.
Went round Cape Jordan, and parts of Arkansas, went around cape Jordan and parts of Arkansas. I got so god darn hungry, I could hide behind a straw. Cause I've been all around the world.
Went up on the mountain, and there I made my stand. Went up on the mountain, and there I made my stand. I had a rifle on my shoulder and a dagger in my hand. I've been all around the world.
They put the rope around my neck, and hung me up so high. They put the rope around my neck and hung me up so high. The last thing I remember them saying was, it won't be long before you die.
... I've been all around the world.

Where My Love Lies
copyright 1993, Mile High Music / Andy Kimbel , Irene Lane Fetter ASCAP
Seems a lot like night time, the way you close the door. And I've seem a lot of emptiness and times like this before.
I still don't believe in good things coming to an end. There's one thing I do believe and that's the way that you walked in, to my life again.
I lie awake at night thinking how can this be true? The kisses I've been given her were really meant for you.
There's one thing that I'm sure of. One thing still comes true. The one I was meant to be with has always been you. ... It's where my Love lies.

If I Had A Boat
(He finally got one)
(by Lyle Lovett)
If I had a boat, I'd go out on the Ocean. And If I had a pony I'd ride him on my boat. We would all together, go out on the ocean. Me upon my Pony on my boat.
And if I were Roy Rogers, I'd sure enough be single. I wouldn't take it upon myself to marry and old Dale. It would just be me and Trigger. We'd go out on the ocean. Me upon my pony on my boat.
Mystery masked man he be smarter cause he got him self a Tonto. And Tonto did his dirty work for free. One he got smarter cause he say KeemOsabe, Kiss my ass I'm buying a boat and riding out to sea.
And if I were like lighting. I wouldn't need no sneakers. Cause I'd come and go when ever I would please. I'd scare em' by the light pole and I'd scare em' by the shade tree. But I would not scare my Pony on my boat out in the sea.
And If I had a boat. I'd go out on the ocean. And If I had a Pony, I'd ride him on my boat. And we would all together Go out on the ocean. Me upon my Pony on my boat .....

Memphis in The Meantime
By John Hiatt
I got something to tell you girl you might not be my style. We've been hanging around this town a little to long a while. You say you're gonna get your act together gonna take it on the road. I need to get out of this town pretty soon or my head is going to explode. Sure I like country music and I like mandolin. But right now I need a Telecaster through a Vibrolux turned up to ten.
Let's go to Memphis in the meantime baby. Memphis in the meantime.
I need a little shot of that rhythm mixed up with some country blues. Get rid of these old cowboy boots for some fine Italian shoes. Forget that needle and hairspray baby we don't need none of that. A little dab will do you underneath that porcupine hat. Until hell freezes over maybe we can wait that long. I don't think Ronny Milsap's ever going to record this song.
Let's go to Memphis in the meantime baby. Memphis in the meantime.
There's nothing happening here... I think there's something in the air. Before our upper lip gets stiff, we could use us a little whiff.
Maybe we can get off of this beat little girl at least we can find a grove. Get us a descent meal down at the roundevou. One more steel guitar chord it's gonna do me in. I need to hear some trumpet and saxophone they sound as sweet as sin. After we get good and greasy we can go back home. Put the cow horns back on the Cadillac change the message on the code-a-phone.
Let's go to Memphis in the meantime baby. Memphis in the meantime.

Dust My Broom
Robert Johnson
I'm gonna' get up in the Morning. Believe I'll dust my broom. I'm gonna' get up in the Morning, Believe I'll dust my broom.
I'm tired of telling' ya, ain't much time to lose.
I'm gonna' write me a letter, send it special telegram. I'm gonna' write me a letter, send it special telegram. I'm gonna' find my baby, sure god damn right I am.
I believe I believe, believe my time has come I believe I believe, believe my time has come. You're gonna' wake up some morning, find your good man gone.
I'm going to get up in the Morning. Believe I'll dust my broom. I'm going to get up in the Morning, Believe I'll dust my broom.

Guilty
Randy Newman
Ya' know babe, I've been drinkin', and I shouldn't have come by I know. But I found myself in trouble darlin', and had no place else left to go.
Got me some whisky from a barman, got some cocaine from a friend. I just had to keep on moving darlin', till I was back in your arms again.
I'm feeling' guilty, so guilty, I'm feelin guilty for the rest of my life.
You know how it is with me darlin', sometimes I just can't stand myself. It takes a whole lot of medicine darlin', for me to pretend like I'm somebody else.
I'm feelin guilty, so guilty, I'm feelin guilt for the rest of my life.

Some Like The Rain
copyright 1999 Mile High Music, Andy Kimbel, ASCAP
Tell Me Why, I'm Feeling so blue. Is it cause you're leaving' me. I might be missing you
Where'd the rain go? Who chased the clouds away? Some like the sunshine... Some just like the rain.
I know you're saying something. I can hear. I 'll close my eyes now. Soon you'll be near.
Where did the rain go? Who chased the clouds away? Some like sunshine. Some just like the rain.
It's a blameless situation. All so clear. I'll close my eyes now. Soon you'll be near.
In my dreams. That's where it all stays the same. Some like sunshine, Some just like the rain.
So, tell Me Why, I'm Feeling so blue. Is it cause you're leaving' me. I might be missing you
Where'd the rain go? Who chased the clouds away? Some like the sunshine... Some just like the rain

One Mans Poison
Andy Kimbel & Greg Simon / ŠKimbel & Simon 1999
Scrape up a dollar, scrape up a dime
Put it together thatll get you a bottle of wine
Picked through the trash she left for me(Found a) broken down heart in a box full
of misery
One mans poison is another mans pie
Bees and old memries sting you
real badSwarming around you they can drive you mad
Die to remember what I live to regret
She lit me up like a hand-rolled cigarette
One mans poison is another
mans pie
One mans poison is another mans pie
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
How do you love what you can never trust
She loved the way that I made her feel
How I felt about it was never part of the deal
One mans poison is another mans pie
Youll never think itll
happen to you
Fall in love with a lie and tell yourself that its true
Salt got spilt a mirror got cracked
Is she seven years gone or seven years coming back?
One mans poison is another mans pie One mans poison is another mans pie
Sauce for the ganders sauce for
the goose
I won my freedom a prize I did not choose
Aint nothing fair about saying farewell
I begged her to stay till I told her to go to hell
One mans poison is another mans pie
One mans poison is another mans pie

The Fury
By Andy Kimbel & Greg Simon /ŠKimbel & Simon 1999
I remember you and me in that Fury
I would take you everywhere
We would drive down all the back roads
Hard and fast, we didnt care
Nothing ever seemed to mean much
cept for the places we would share
I remember you and me in that Fury
I would take you everywhere
I remember you and me in that Fury
Was the best times Ive ever known
I would race it down at county line
But thats the farthest we would roam
Then Id take you to the drive-in
And wed never get to watch the show
I remember you and me in that Fury
Was the best times Ive ever known
BRIDGE
Whoa, you never know
How the road goads the soul to strip its gears
See a straightaway, try a getaway
And the road up and disappears
Up and disappears
I remember you and me in that Fury
We felt just like Bonnie and Clyde
We never knew what we were running from
But we made it one hell of a ride
And then wed make love in our hideaway
With the stars shining in our eyes
I remember you and me in that Fury
We felt just like Bonnie and Clyde
I remember you and me in that Fury
When your hair whipped around your smile
When you told me how your body --
How it was wrapped around our child
I punched the pedal to the floor board
Till it read empty on the dial
I remember you and me in that Fury
When your hair whipped around your smile
Whoa, you never know
How the road goads the soul to strip its gears
See a straightaway, try a getaway
And the road up and disappears
Up and disappears
I remember leaving in that Fury
One last chance to lose this town
Somewhere outside of Phoenix
We drove that Fury into the ground
Well I hated to lose that Fury
Guess it was time to settle down
I remember leaving in that Fury
One
last chance to lose
